WSIB Level 1 – Rights and Obligations
Explore your rights and obligations under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act.  The two-day model is filled with presentations, videos, and discussions and includes the History & Principles of Workers’ Compensation, Types of Injuries and Illnesses, Reporting an Injury and Filing a Claim, Legal Tests for Entitlement, and more. 

Who should attend: all those members from the Southwestern Ontario region who are WSIB representatives, Workers’ Compensation activists, RTW specialists, union leadership and union stewards, H&S representatives and activists.

WSIB Level 1 is a prerequisite for Level 2

This in-person course will be delivered as a two day course at our PSAC London Regional Office (244 Pall Mall Street, Suite 401, London ON).  Please read the date and time carefully.
Friday, October 25, 2024 – 9:00am to 4:30pm
Saturday, October 26, 2024 – 9:00am to 4:30pm

Upon successful completion of the course, members will be reimbursed as per approved policy.

Loss of Salary: Eligible loss of salary reimbursement will be paid to members attending the Health and Safety Clinic course during hours in which they were scheduled to work. Any eligible loss of salary will be reimbursed upon confirmation of full attendance and completion of the course and in accordance with the applicable PSAC policy.

The course will be limited to 20 participants. Approvals will be given on a “first come, first served” basis, so please register early to secure your spot.
