Join the Racialized Members Committee for the Emancipation Underground Freedom Train Ride. Emancipation Day is observed on August 1st across Ontario to reflect and commemorate the 1833 Slavery Abolition Act.
This annual free train ride honours the history, celebrates the present and invests in the future of the Black Community. For more information please visit the Blackhurst Cultural Center Instagram page (@blackhurstcc) and register for this experience.
The TTC meet up spot is at Vaughan Metropolitan Center – the ride begins on Friday July 31st at 10:30pm and finishes at Union Station at 12:30am August 1st.
