Dear Members,
We are pleased to announce the Sudbury and District Women’s Committee executive elections, scheduled for Wednesday, April 16th, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. The elections will be held both in-person and virtually. We have seen a strong turnout and interest in forming this committee, and it is now time to make it official through elections.

If you have never held an executive position before, this is a great opportunity to shape a new committee with your fellow members. Those with prior experience are also encouraged to run for these positions. Even if you are not interested in running, your attendance is crucial to support the executive team.
Positions Available for a 2-Year Term:
Chair:
- Responsible for the affairs of the regional committee between meetings.
- Liaise and provide reports to the REVP, Regional Council representative, and regional staff after each meeting.
- Facilitate meetings of the regional committee during their term.
- Ensure committee members receive timely information from the REVP, Regional Council representative, or staff.
- Responsible for the agenda and callout for agenda items in advance of the meeting date.
Vice Chair: - Steps in when the Chair is unavailable.
- Facilitate meetings of the regional committee during their term.
- Ensure committee members receive timely information from the REVP, Regional Council representative, or staff.
- Responsible for the agenda and callout for agenda items in advance of the meeting date.
Treasurer: - Provide up-to-date financial information to the Chair and the Committee at each meeting.
- Prepare and present an annual financial report to the Committee and submit it to the REVP, Regional Council representative, and staff.
- Present an annual budget for Committee approval before submission to the Regional Council representative.
Secretary: - Responsible for taking minutes at all regular and special meetings, which will be provided to the Chair for approval and distribution at the next meeting.
- Ensure minutes are provided to the REVP, Regional Council representative, and staff within 30 days after the meeting.
