Toronto RO: Resolution Writing & Lobbying (Virtual, February 8-9, 2025)

By the end of this course, participants will develop an understanding of the importance of lobbying as a means of influencing the political system. This course will also help PSAC members write clear and effective resolutions, and prepare members to organize support for and speak to resolutions at conferences and conventions.

This course will be delivered over 2 days. Please read the dates and times carefully.

Location: Virtual
Session 1 – Saturday, February 8, 2025 – 9:00AM to 5:00PM
Session 2 – Sunday, February 9, 2025 – 9:00AM to 5:00PM

Prerequisite: None

Registration Deadline: January 13, 2025

Upon successful completion of the course, members will be reimbursed as per approved PSAC policy. The course must be completed in its entirety before the per diem is issued.

Loss of Salary: Eligible loss of salary reimbursement will be paid to members attending the course, during hours in which they were scheduled to work. Any eligible loss of salary will be reimbursed upon confirmation of full attendance and completion of the course and in accordance with the applicable PSAC policy.

Education and Travel Policy will be in effect. Upon successful completion of the course, members will be reimbursed as per approved policy. The course must be completed in its entirety before the per diem is issued.

The course will be limited for participants. Approvals will be given on a “first come, first served” basis, so please register early to secure your spot.
