Thunder Bay RO : Grievance Handling – (In Person – Sat, Mar 28 – Sun, Mar 29, 2026)

This course gives new shop stewards essential knowledge for handling Level I Grievances. Participants gain a better understanding of how to work with members at the initial stages of the grievance procedure and how to mobilize members around workplace problems. 

Open to: All members represented by the Thunder Bay Regional Office and in good standing are welcome to register. New Local Stewarts are encouraged to apply.

Prerequisite: The Talking Union Basics (TUB) or its equivalent.

This course will be delivered in person for the duration of two days. Please read the dates and times carefully.

Loss of Salary: Eligible loss of salary reimbursement will be paid to members attending the course Grievance Handling, during hours in which they were scheduled to work. Any eligible loss of salary will be reimbursed upon confirmation of full attendance and completion of the course and in accordance with the applicable PSAC policy.

Please note, the Per Diem Policy will be in effect. Upon successful completion of the course, members will be reimbursed as per approved policy. The Course must be completed in its entirety before the per diem is issued.
