Hamilton-Niagara: Climate Change & Environmental Racism (IN PERSON – March 28-29, 2026)

This course will introduce the participants to the scientific, social, and economic dimensions of the climate crisis. Over two days, the participants will familiarize themselves with key scientific parameters that describe climate change; identify the economic forces that have resulted in environmental destruction; understand the uneven impact of climate crisis along racial and national lines; and develop an understanding of climate justice through the lens of labour movement.
All members in the Toronto Regional Office area in good standing are welcome to register.

Please note that the course is being offered in-person. Exact location is TBD but will be in the Hamilton-Niagara service area.
Upon successful completion of the course, members will be reimbursed as per approved PSAC policy. The course must be completed in its entirety before the per diem is issued.
Loss of Salary: Eligible loss of salary reimbursement will be paid to members attending the course during hours in which they were scheduled to work. Any eligible loss of salary will be reimbursed upon confirmation of full attendance and completion of the course and in accordance with the applicable PSAC policy.
