Kingston RO (Location TBA): Grievance Handling (In Person – December 9 and 10, 2023)

Grievance Handling gives new shop stewards essential knowledge for handling Level I Grievances. Participants gain a better understanding of how to work with members at the initial stages of the grievance procedure and how to mobilize members around workplace problems. 

Open to: All members in good standing, and new Local Stewards are encouraged to apply.
Prerequisite: The Talking Union Basics (TUB) or its equivalent.

This course will be delivered over 2 separate days. Please read the dates and times carefully:

Session 1 – Saturday, December 9, 2023 – 9:00am-5:00pm
Session 2 – Sunday, December 10, 2023 – 9:00am-5:00pm

Please note that the course is being offered in-person in the Kingston service area. The location of the course will be decided based on where most registrants are located.

Upon successful completion of the course, members will be reimbursed as per approved PSAC policy. The course must be completed in its entirety before the per diem is issued.

Loss of Salary: Eligible loss of salary reimbursement will be paid to members attending the Grievance Handling course during hours in which they were scheduled to work. Any eligible loss of salary will be reimbursed upon confirmation of full attendance and completion of the course and in accordance with the applicable PSAC policy.
