Barrie Area Council will be holding a special members virtual meeting, on Tuesday, October 20th, 2026 at 7:30pm, to elect a delegate and an alternate to represent Barrie Area Council at the PSAC National Triannual Convention.
According to Barrie Area Council Bylaws (By-Law 6 Section 11) In order to be eligible for election the individual must:
- be a member in good standing
- have represented a local, branch, DCL, or regional committee to this Area Council,
- and have attended at least 50% (fifty percent) of Area Council meetings in the twelve (12) months prior to this meeting.
If you are interested in running, please prepare a 1–2-minute spiel as to what excites you about representing Barrie Area Council at the National Triannual Convention. If you are not running, it’s good to elect the delegate you want to represent you.
