Toronto Racialized Members’ Committee: Juneteenth Planning Meeting

Join us for a VIRTUAL meeting to plan our 2026 Juneteenth event Thursday, April 23 – 6:30pm to 8:00pm on Zoom. This meeting is open to PSAC Members in Good Standing in the Toronto Area who self-identify as Racialized.

While Juneteenth is a uniquely American holiday that celebrates the end of slavery in the US, its message of freedom and equality has inspired people around the world including right here in Toronto. Many people don’t realize that slavery once existed in Canada – or that it was a critical destination along the Underground Railroad for those seeking freedom. Stay tuned on how the Toronto Racialized Members Committee will amplify the significance of this day.
