International Lesbian Visibility Day

On April 26th we recognize International Lesbian Visibility Day. This Day is meant to celebrate and bring visibility to lesbian members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

When we speak of visibility as representation, we mean media representation, and in the areas of health and community services. Being literally seen can foster a sense of identity affirmation. Further, being represented leads to feeling safer to access care, support, and resources.
