May 17th, marks the day in 1990 that the World Health Organization made the decision to declassify homosexuality as a mental disorder.
The International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia is meant to highlight the discrimination that 2SLGBTQIA+ people still face today. The Day encourages us to keep working to advance the rights of people with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities or expressions, and sex characteristics.
