Definition of Danger

Here is the definition of danger for the federal and provincial groups.  The federal is first – second is provincial.  Please just make sure they are separated clearly.

The Canada Labour Code changed the definition of danger on October 31, 2014 the changes narrowed the definition of danger.  The exact wording can been seen below.  Along with the new definition came a new process for reporting danger.

Subsection 122 (1) of the Code defines “danger” as: “any hazard, condition or activity that could reasonably be expected to be an imminent or serious threat to the life or health of a person exposed to it before the hazard or condition can be corrected or the activity altered.”
