Grievance Handling gives new shop stewards essential knowledge for handling Level I Grievances. Participants gain a better understanding of how to work with members at the initial stages of the grievance procedure and how to mobilize members around workplace problems. 

Open to: All members in good standing, and new Local Stewards are encouraged to apply.
Prerequisite: The Talking Union Basics (TUB) or its equivalent.

This course will be delivered over 2 separate days. Please read the dates and times carefully:

Saturday, November 4th, 2023 – 9:00am-5:00pm*
Sunday, November 5th, 2023 – 9:00am-5:00pm*
*Note: The exact start and end times are currently tentative and may be subject to change.

Upon successful completion of the course, members will be reimbursed as per approved PSAC policy. The course must be completed in its entirety before the per diem is issued.

Loss of Salary: Eligible loss of salary reimbursement will be paid to members attending the Grievance Handling course during hours in which they were scheduled to work. Any eligible loss of salary will be reimbursed upon confirmation of full attendance and completion of the course and in accordance with the applicable PSAC policy.
