- Join a trade union of her/his choice and to participate in its lawful activities.
- Be free from discrimination or penalty by an employer because she or he is exercising rights under the Act
- Organize a union at work, as long as you do it on your own time.
- Participate in a proceeding under the Canada Labour Code and not be penalized by the employer.
- Confidentiality of your decision to join a union.
- Obtain union support from co-workers
- Take part in the formation, selection or administration of a union. Violation of any of these rights can be remedied by a complaint to the Canada Industrial Relations Board.
